This weekend I had the honor of shooting for Proud and Pretty in Pink's campaign "Powerful in Pink".
The idea behind the new campaign is "Empowering Girls to become Powerful Women", writes Chelsie Mogan, founder of PPP. We shot this campaign with girls that have actually gone through the program, instead of hired models, staying true to the PPP way of promoting healthy body image and self esteem for all girls.
We shot in beautiful San Francisco. I had flown into SF plenty of times but have never had the chance to actually go into the city and explore. So this was an awesome experience for me. As we crossed over the bay bridge I instantly fell in love. I could spend a full month there shooting the architecture alone!!!
The set was on top of the Westfield mall. Literally on top!! The rooftop setting was perfect for our super hero themed shoot! The girls looked amazing in their makeup masks and the wardrobe and set was beyond perfect. We shot for 4 hours straight, but the first call time for hair and makeup was at 6:30am. So after 8 1/2 hours of work we called it a day!
The photos are amazing and I will start post production on them this week. Stay tuned for the finished images!
